Move over AIBO, there's a new AI in town.
The Associated Press reported this week of a new robot that can "taste" and identify dozens of different wines, cheeses and hors d'oeuvres.
Using an infrared spectrometer, the robot can analyze an object's chemical composition and determine what the object is based on its unique spectral fingerprint.
While this may be a big win for science, I'd say it's a damn shame for Mr. Roboto. What's the fun in identifying decadent wines and cheeses if you can't partake in the hedonistic experience?!
